The Certosa di San Giacomo Hotel was founded between 1197 and 1209, in a pleasant place. It became a centre of agricultural production, famous for the quality of its products. Certosa still keeps an ancient method of pressing grapes, grinding olives and continues the tradition of the monaci, producing wine of Fiano, Aglianico and oil for the customers of the Certosa.

Recent renovation has given life to a refined hotel. The Certosa is strategically located just metres away from the historical centre of Lauro, not far from the Castle of Lancellotti Principles, 30 minutes by car from Naples, Avellino, Caserta, Pompei and all of the region\'s artistic treasures.
